Engr. Eddy Eje joined the services of the defunct NEPA in 1996 as a Pupil Engineer and after his one year pupilage program was posted to the largest Transmission Station in West Africa, the Ikeja West 330/132KV Transmission Station in Lagos as Assistant .Manager, Protection, Control & Metering (PC&M). After a 5-year spell and while still a member of a Special National Grid-Metering Task force, he was promoted to a Senior Manager position and drafted to Shiroro Transmission Region to head the Performance Team of the Region in November, 2003. While in Shiroro, he headed the Regional Transmission Loss Reduction Committee and in May 2004 was redrafted to the Abuja CHQs of PHCN as a member of yet another special Committee on Grid Metering Gap Analysis, whose report formed part of BPE’s working document for Electricity sector privatization build-up. This Grid Metering Gap Analysis Committee incidentally formed the pioneer engineers and staff of the Market Operations when it was formally incepted in 2004. From the position of a Senior Manager in 2004, Engr. Eje rose to the position of a General Manager Technical Data Administration.
